Yarnbird - (Dark Forest) Very basic enemy, uses a peck attack and jumps at Pin with its long legs. The body is a giant ball of yarn, it has actual bird feathers sticking out of its head and the yarn.
Puptryoshka - (All game worlds) A special rare enemy, it uses a tackle attack and a special ground pound attack when she leaps into the air and hits the ground sending shockwaves. It starts out as a large Puptryoshka, but go down with one hit. However, every time you hit it, the large shell breaks and a smaller Puptryoshka comes out. The smaller ones are faster and are harder to hit. Once you defeat it, the tiniest one breaks open, revealing a rare item inside.
Puppen - (All game worlds) A very generic, common foe, Pin battles 3 Puppen during the combat tutorial. It often wonders around aimlessly, its only attack is to run and push/tackle Pin. These puppets were created with little care and just have an angry face etched on the wooden sphere that is its head.
Pupinbox - (Circus world) An uncommon enemy. It disguises itself as an item box and if Pin tries to open it, there's a good chance that it will inflict damage on him. When it jumps back into the box and begins winding itself, it will wait for Pin to get near it. Pupinbox will pop out and grab Pin and pull him inside the box with it unless Pin dodges it. Pupinbox also has a ground pound attack that sends shockwaves.
Ballerette - (Circus World) A common enemy. Ballerette's are extremely fast and use various spin and kick attacks. Whenever they inflict damage on the player, they gracefully bow, leaving them open to attack.
Life - A pick-up item that increases Pin's life by 1. I was thinking of having this represent Pin's life on screen (picture having say 5 of them lines up next to each other on the game screen) or possibly have it represent a kind of "heart piece" if you will that, once obtained will increase the max life by 1...

I think this all works well. How about if there is one spool icon which loses thread as your character takes damage.
